I am currently looking to use FineTrax on a new project and have a number of questions which no doubt I will be pestering you with over the coming months.
One initial question surrounds the use of fishplates joining track sections. Now, I presume the PECO ones will be far too coarse for this, so is the intention to use something along the lines of the 2mm society fishplates? These are very details, but look to need soldering to the track sections as opposed to sliding beneath the rail.

Hi,
Thanks for your questions.
You are correct that the track laying method is similar to 2mm FS track, the lengths of rail or not physically joined, almost the same as a baseboard or lifting section joint. The fishplates that the 2FS shop sells are only cosmetic, not functional.

I'm thinking about using your track to build some scenic sections for my shop window display and to photograph stock on and have a similar question and ask how is track joined in 2mm scale? Is it a case of using a PCB and soldering the track to it at the joins?
Kind Regards, Steven
