Hi Guys, OK, etched chair plates arrived and are very nice indeed. I having been making small revisions to the assembly jig to make sure I am happy (I have about 10 jigs on my bench of different revisions, hehe). My latest version, and I believe the final version, holds the chair plate and switch blade in the correct position for soldering, a holder plate is screwed down to hold the rail down firmly onto the chair plate, with no movement. Once soldered, there are also two other sections on the jig that hold the rail and chair plate nicely, allowing any needed filing/cleanup very easy with a square needle file (to allow wheel flange clearance). I am honestly very happy with the outcome, with a proper youtube instructional video made showing how to use the jig to both file the blade and solder the chair, this will be an easy enough process. OK, off to mill the finished assembly jigs for you guys, I appreciate your patience so far!

Hi Guys, A few revisions later and I have now mailed out the jigs to you guys, sorry for the long wait You should get these either tomorrow or Monday. Inside you will find: 2x lengths of rail for the switch blades 1x Soldering and filing/cleanup jig 1x etch of 16 chair plates (you only need two but thought I would put a whole sprue in there) 3x 0.4mm headed pins (only 2x needed, 1x spare) 1x tie bar, holes predrilled 1x 0.4mm drill - for clearing the 0.4mm hole on the chair plate of solder. You will need: A file for filing the blades a 25W soldering iron with 2mm flat/chisel tip Lead Free Solder Flux (powerflow paste flux is recommended) Low viscosity super glue (SLO ZAP recommended) I will make a youtube video showing how to file the blade and solder the chair plates over the weekend. Happy days!
